What We Offer

Adoption Process for Our Wyoming Adopters

Through years of experience we have developed a tried and true adoption process devoted to matching the correct puppy with their adopter family. We are strong advocates of thoroughly understanding the adopter family dynamic and preferences and guiding each family in the selection process. Successful adoptions are never accidents and ensuring the bulldog puppy and their family are compatible matches is essential.

Steps of Our Adoption Process

1. First Email and Then Verbal Interview – While written adoption questionnaires have long been the standard practice for dog breeders to assess prospective adopters, we’ve noticed their constraints over time. Most hopeful adopters, whether actually suitable or not, can easily provide the “right” responses on paper. Real evaluation calls for a more tailored approach that goes well beyond what any predetermined questionnaire can deliver. This is the very reason why, as trusted English Bulldog breeders, we concentrate on genuine conversations over the phone with our potential families. During our conversation, we’ll cover topics such as your daily lifestyle, family atmosphere, past pet companionship, and your desires for a pet to determine if one of our Bruiser Bulldogs would thrive in your home.

2. Deposit – We require a non-refundable $500 deposit to join our wait list for the next English Bulldog puppy available.

3. Choosing your English Bulldog Puppy – When an adopter reaches the top of our wait list, we initiate the puppy selection process. Before making any decisions, we’ll provide photos of all available English Bulldog puppies along with detailed phone discussions about each pup’s unique temperament and characteristics (our personality assessment process is outlined below). We’ll walk you through every prospective addition’s individual personality, preferences, and distinguishing qualities, helping you evaluate how they might fit your family’s lifestyle. Your household makes the final decision, so we are dedicated to offering knowledgeable insights and guidance throughout this meaningful selection process.

*English Bulldog Puppy Personality Assessment – We believe every bulldog deserves a perfectly matched forever home, achievable only through detailed personality evaluation of each individual puppy. Our process includes behavioral observation, temperament testing, and documentation of each puppy’s emerging personality traits. This comprehensive evaluation process cannot be rushed and requires puppies to reach 4-5 weeks of age before we can accurately assess their distinct personalities. While some adopters prefer to select their puppy as early as 2 weeks old, we respectfully decline these requests. Early selection without proper temperament evaluation is counterproductive and can lead to mismatched pairings, as adopters would be choosing their English Bulldog companion without understanding their future pet’s true nature and needs.

4. Puppy Prep – When an adopter has been successfully paired with one of our English Bulldog puppies, we initiate our puppy prep and training. Each new owner receives comprehensive support training and detailed care resources tailored to promote the healthiest start for their bulldog. For our Illinois adopters, we offer flexible arrangement options including our puppy delivery service, where a member of our family will bring your new pup directly to your home. Other adopters prefer to visit our home for pickup. Whether through a face-to-face pickup or planning over the phone, we’re committed to ensuring your prepared for bulldog ownership.

Wyoming Specific Advice From A Lifelong Bulldog Breeder

Yellowstone Animal Health Center – Cheyenne

307 Happy Dog – Cody, WY

Led by Sabine Born, a CCPDT‑KA certified trainer and Fear Free certified professional. She specializes in behavioral modification and reactive dogs—ideal if your bulldog has anxiety or reactivity concerns.

1. Nature Walks & Scenic Trails (Low Elevation + Shade Preferred):

– Curt Gowdy State Park (Cheyenne/Laramie Area)- Offers shaded, easy trails like Crow Creek Trail. Bulldogs can enjoy leashed strolls along the water and scenic picnic spots. Mornings and evenings are best to avoid high plains sun exposure.

– Grand Teton National Park (Jackson) – The scenic drives & pull-offs are perfect for a lazy bulldog ride with photo stops, followed by chill time in the fresh mountain air. While most trails don’t allow dogs, your bulldog is welcome on: Roadside pull-offs, Campgrounds, Paved areas like Colter Bay Marina & picnic areas.

2. Dog Parks & Local Recreation:

– Morad Dog Park (Casper)- Not overly busy—great for bulldogs who aren’t into rowdy dog crowds. Fully fenced with trees and grass, ideal for bulldogs to move at their own pace.

– Optimist Park Dog Park (Laramie)- Shady corners and benches so you and your bulldog can enjoy some relaxed social time. Contains a double-gated entrance and grassy turf.
