What We Offer

Adoption Process for Our Utah Adopters

Through years of experience we have developed a tried and true adoption process devoted to matching the correct puppy with their adopter family. We are strong advocates of thoroughly understanding the adopter family dynamic and preferences and guiding each family in the selection process.  Successful adoptions are never accidents and ensuring the bulldog puppy and their family are compatible matches is essential.

Steps of Our Adoption Process

1. First Email and Then Verbal Interview – While standard adoption questionnaires have been the common approach for dog breeders to screen prospective adopters, we’ve come to understand their downfalls. Most candidates, regardless of how well-matched they may be, can easily formulate the “right” answers on paper. Proper assessment demands a more personal approach that goes beyond what any structured questionnaire can achieve. This is precisely why, as trusted English Bulldog breeders, we emphasize personal telephone exchanges with our potential families. During our chat, we’ll explore elements such as your everyday schedule, home atmosphere, previous animal experience, and what you hope for in a pet to gauge if one of our Bruiser Bulldogs would flourish in your household.

2. Deposit – We require a non-refundable $500 deposit to join our wait list for the next English Bulldog puppy available.

3. Choosing your English Bulldog Puppy – When an adopter reaches the top of our wait list, we initiate the puppy selection process. Before making any decisions, we’ll provide photos of all available English Bulldog puppies along with detailed phone discussions about each pup’s unique temperament and characteristics (our personality assessment process is outlined below). We’ll guide you through each potential addition’s special traits, behavioral patterns, and individual quirks, ensuring you understand their compatibility with your household routine. Though the final choice rests completely with your family, we’re committed to supplying professional advice and support to build your selection confidence.

*English Bulldog Puppy Personality Assessment – To ensure we create the perfect match between each bulldog puppy and their forever family, we must first thoroughly understand each individual puppy’s unique temperament. Our personality assessment involves extensive one-on-one time with each puppy, carefully observing their energy patterns, social behaviors, and natural tendencies. This comprehensive evaluation process cannot be rushed and requires puppies to reach 4-5 weeks of age before we can accurately assess their distinct personalities. While some adopters prefer to select their puppy as early as 2 weeks old, we respectfully decline these requests. Early selection without proper temperament evaluation is counterproductive and can lead to mismatched pairings, as adopters would be choosing their English Bulldog companion without understanding their future pet’s true nature and needs.

4. Puppy Prep – Once we have matched an adopter to one of our English Bulldog puppies, we transition to puppy prep and training. Each adopter receives thorough support training and puppy prep information focused on how to best transition and care for their new bulldog puppy. For our Utah adopters, many choose to use our puppy nanny service (one of our family members) where we fly with your pup to Salt Lake City International Airport, Provo Municipal Airport, or your nearest airport. Other adopters prefer to fly to our home to pick up their new family addition. We’re committed to accommodating either choice. While we genuinely appreciate meeting our bulldog adopters face-to-face, we also respect that packed schedules sometimes make phone discussions more practical, and we’re thrilled to discuss the ideal arrangement through a call.
