Successful adoptions are never accidents and ensuring the bulldog puppy and their family are compatible matches is essential.
Steps of Our Adoption Process
1. First Email and Then Verbal Interview – Adoption questionnaires have served as the established practice for dedicated dog breeders when assessing potential adopters, but we’ve recognized their boundaries over time. Most candidates, whether genuinely suitable or not, can effortlessly craft the “correct” responses on a document. Authentic evaluation calls for a more personal approach that extends beyond what any predetermined questionnaire can deliver. This is the very reason why, as English Bulldog breeders, we value genuine telephone conversations with our prospective families. In our chat, we’ll cover topics including your daily lifestyle, family environment, past pet ownership, and your expectations for a furry friend to assess whether one of our Bruiser Bulldogs would prosper under your supervision.
2. Deposit – We require a non-refundable $500 deposit to join our wait list for the next English Bulldog puppy available.
3. Choosing your English Bulldog Puppy – When an adopter reaches the top of our wait list, we initiate the puppy selection process. Before making any decisions, we’ll provide photos of all available English Bulldog puppies along with detailed phone discussions about each pup’s unique temperament and characteristics (our personality assessment process is outlined below). We’ll describe each prospective companion’s personality traits, habits, and individual features, ensuring you grasp how they integrate into your lifestyle. While the choice remains entirely in your hands, we’re committed to delivering knowledgeable support and wisdom to ensure your confidence in the selection.
*English Bulldog Puppy Personality Assessment – Optimal puppy placement outcomes require detailed insight into each bulldog’s individual temperament traits and behavioral preferences. Through careful personality evaluation and systematic observation protocols, we identify each puppy’s unique characteristics and compatibility markers. This comprehensive evaluation process cannot be rushed and requires puppies to reach 4-5 weeks of age before we can accurately assess their distinct personalities. While some adopters prefer to select their puppy as early as 2 weeks old, we respectfully decline these requests. Early selection without proper temperament evaluation is counterproductive and can lead to mismatched pairings, as adopters would be choosing their English Bulldog companion without understanding their future pet’s true nature and needs.
4. Puppy Prep – Once we have matched an adopter to one of our English Bulldog puppies, we transition to puppy prep and training. Each adopter receives personalized support training and puppy prep information focused on how to best transition and care for their new bulldog puppy. For our Oregon adopters, many choose to use our puppy nanny service where one of our family members will fly with your pup to Portland International Airport, Eugene Airport, or your nearest airport. Other adopters prefer to fly to our home to pick up their new friend. We’re committed to facilitating either approach. While we truly value meeting our bulldog adopters personally, we also understand that hectic schedules sometimes require phone coordination, and we’re delighted to explore the best arrangement through a call.

We are able to fly into almost any city with a major airport. We are able to fly into Portland, Eugene, Bend, Salem, and Medford. If you are an adopter located near Oregon we can accommodate delivery to you.
We require a deposit to join our waitlist or to reserve a specific bulldog pup. Final payment is made at pickup or delivery.
Adopter Support Questions
All of our puppies are vet checked at Auburn Hills Animal Hospital or Lagrange Vet Clinic here in Indiana. We register all of our pups through the AKC purebred registry. We are active “Bred With Heart” AKC awarded breeders, we follow all state and USDA protocol for safely transporting and delivering our puppies.
Upon arrival, we will personally check up with a phone call and go over the care package and puppy manual. If you have any questions – we pride ourselves in supporting our adopters with any bulldog related advice. We want to make sure you are completely comfortable with the care of your puppy.
English Bulldogs are a unique breed. We have extensive experience with bulldog specific medical questions and can often provide top tier bulldog related advice based on our dedication to the breed. Our veterinary advisor team gives us VIP level service and is always able to offer additional advice if requested.

Yes! It is very important to our vision to always stay within AKC registered purebred bloodlines. We will provide AKC records and paperwork that allows you to register your pup once you adopt.
