Steps of Our Adoption Process

First Email and Then Verbal Interview – Standard adoption questionnaires have been the primary method for dog breeders to evaluate prospective adopters, but we’ve identified their drawbacks through application. Most people seeking adoption, regardless of how well-matched they may be, can smoothly deliver the “correct” answers on a written form. True assessment demands a more customized approach that transcends what any structured questionnaire can achieve. This is exactly why, as trusted English Bulldog breeders, we focus on personal phone calls with our prospective families. During our chat, we’ll cover aspects such as your everyday schedule, home atmosphere, previous animal companionship, and what you envision for a pet to decide if one of our Bruiser Bulldogs would thrive in your care.
2. Deposit – We require a non-refundable $500 deposit to join our wait list for the next English Bulldog puppy available.
3. Choosing your English Bulldog Puppy – When an adopter reaches the top of our wait list, we initiate the puppy selection process. Before making any decisions, we’ll provide photos of all available English Bulldog puppies along with detailed phone discussions about each pup’s unique temperament and characteristics (our personality assessment process is outlined below). We’ll thoroughly discuss each potential puppy’s unique attributes, behavioral tendencies, and distinctive characteristics, helping you determine their suitability for your household routine. Because the ultimate selection belongs solely to your family, we’re devoted to offering counsel and insights throughout your decision-making process.
*English Bulldog Puppy Personality Assessment – Each bulldog’s journey to their perfect family begins with thorough understanding of their individual personality and temperament characteristics. We dedicate our time to behavioral evaluation, carefully observing each puppy’s natural tendencies, energy expressions, and social behaviors. This comprehensive evaluation process cannot be rushed and requires puppies to reach 4-5 weeks of age before we can accurately assess their distinct personalities. While some adopters prefer to select their puppy as early as 2 weeks old, we respectfully decline these requests. Early selection without proper temperament evaluation is counterproductive and can lead to mismatched pairings, as adopters would be choosing their English Bulldog companion without understanding their future pet’s true nature and needs.
4. Puppy Prep – Once we have matched an adopter to one of our English Bulldog puppies, we transition to puppy prep and training. Each adopter receives complete support training and puppy prep information focused on how to best transition and care for your new bulldog puppy. For our Montana adopters, many choose to use our puppy nanny service, where one of our family members will fly with your pup to Billings Logan International Airport, Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport, or your nearest airport. Other adopters prefer to fly to our home to pick up their new adventure buddy. We’re ready to accommodate either option. While we genuinely enjoy meeting our bulldog adopters face-to-face, we also respect that demanding schedules may make phone discussions and other plans more practical, and we can discuss the ideal arrangement through a call.

Yes, we absolutely love when adopters pick up in person. We will go over your puppy package and make sure you are completely comfortable when you are at our house.
We are able to fly into almost any city with a major airport. We are able to fly into Bozeman, Billings, Helena, and Missoula. If you are an adopter located near Montana we can accommodate delivery to you.
We require a deposit to join our waitlist or to reserve a specific bulldog pup. Final payment is made at pickup or delivery.
Adopter Support Questions
All of our puppies are vet checked at Auburn Hills Animal Hospital or Lagrange Vet Clinic here in Indiana. We register all of our pups through the AKC purebred registry. We are active “Bred With Heart” AKC awarded breeders, we follow all state and USDA protocol for safely transporting and delivering our puppies.
Upon arrival, we will personally check up with a phone call and go over the care package and puppy manual. If you have any questions – we pride ourselves in supporting our adopters with any bulldog related advice. We want to make sure you are completely comfortable with the care of your puppy.
English Bulldogs are a unique breed. We have extensive experience with bulldog specific medical questions and can often provide top tier bulldog related advice based on our dedication to the breed. Our veterinary advisor team gives us VIP level service and is always able to offer additional advice if requested.

Yes! It is very important to our vision to always stay within AKC registered purebred bloodlines. We will provide AKC records and paperwork that allows you to register your pup once you adopt.
We prefer to use email to address the majority of adopter questions. During medical emergencies we love to jump on a phone call and provide guidance.
